Just one month after iOS 8.2 was released which contains the Apple Watch support and various other fixes, iOS 8.3 is finally out yesterday morning, and contains an even larger list of fixes, comparable to that on iOS 8.1. As always, it is available for download through iTunes as well as an over-the-air update, and is available for all devices that could run iOS 8, namely iPhone 4S, 5, 5c, 5s, 6, 6 Plus, all iPads except the first generation, and only the 5th generation iPod touch.
The most notable update is the new emoji keyboard, which is also available on the newly-released OS X 10.10.3 which we’ll cover in just a bit. The look of the emoji picker grid has been refreshed, and it now includes new characters and new skin tones to represent the diverse ethnicity, as part of the new Unicode specification.
Improvements and fixes focuses on older iOS devices, where users should receive a bump in performance, when it comes to app launch times, touch responsiveness, plus an increase in performance for apps and settings like WiFi, Safari tabs, the Control Center, and Messages.
