Fans of DOTA 2 should know of the The Shanghai Major, where the current DOTA 2 championship is ongoing. Astro is in on the eSports bandwagon too, and is airing The Shanghai Major DOTA 2 championship live from March 2nd to March 6th 2016, for free. Well, free to all Astro subscribers of Astro SuperSport Plus Channel 808 and Astro on the Go, that is.
If eligible, simple head on to the ‘LIVE TV’ tab on Astro on the Go to view the championship. Astro on the Go is accessible via web browsers as always, at http://my.astroonthego.com/, of if you’re on mobile, Astro on the Go also comes in an app form, for Android and iOS smartphones and tablets.

- March 2nd: 10am–11pm
- March 3rd: 10am–11pm
- March 4th: 10am–10pm
- March 5th: 10am–10pm
- March 6th: 10:30am–5pm
The Shanghai Major was announced during the Grand Finals in Frankfurt end of last year. It is held at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China, where 16 of the world’s best professional DOTA 2 teams battle it out, for a total prize pool of US$3,000,000. One of the 16 teams is Fnatic, which is led by Malaysia’s MuShi (Chai Yee Fung).
