If you’re a Facebook Messenger user on iPad and you have grown tired of looking at that enlarged iPhone app, you’re in for a bit of a good news. Facebook has finally decided to release a version that has been designed for your device.
The Messenger for iPad comes with most of the features found on the iPhone version. Included are stickers, easy group chat navigation, VoIP calling and of course the all important one-to-one messaging. It’s still missing the split-screen selfie camera and tap and hold quick video recordings but shouldn’t be that much longer now.
The interface has multiple panels and opens according to the action in use. You can now view the list of message threads on the left while chatting with one on the right. If you already have the Facebook app installed, tapping the Messages button automatically loads up the Messenger. To switch back, you just have to tap the top bar within the Messenger.
There’s no information about a tablet version for Android yet but we can only hope we won’t have to wait as long as the one for iPad. If you’re not into Messenger, you can still use the other messaging app that Facebook acquired. It’s called WhatsApp.
